Erich Spoonhour
Managing Director, Consultant
Erich is a 20-year veteran of the financial services industry. He began his career in 2002 as a financial advisor in Pittsburgh, PA and spent the next 15 years cultivating and managing a planning centric, advisory business. As his career progressed, Erich frequently found himself coaching financial advisors about managing and growing their practices and decided to transition into a role where he could leverage his experience.
Erich joined Morgan Stanley in 2017 as a Business Development Manager and then in 2020 was elevated to Morgan Stanley’s Modern Engagement team. As a TEMPO Coach, he consulted some of the firm’s top advisor teams on matters of business development, practice management, team communication, client engagement, segmentation, client experience, effective financial planning, and prospecting leveraging social media.
It is Erich’s passion for the industry and his first-hand knowledge and respect for the work advisors do that led him to Elements Consulting. As a Registered Corporate Coach (RCC™), Erich brings to bear Elements Consulting methodologies to help advisors and teams develop modern processes that allow for greater efficiency and scale that lead to outsized growth.
Erich graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Psychology. He resides in Raleigh, NC with his wife Diane and five of their six children. He and his family live active lifestyles enjoying the kids’ sporting events, spending time in the North Carolina mountains, skiing, and spending time with friends.
